Air France (Compagnie Nationale Air France) was the national
airline of France. Since the take-over of KLM it is a
subsidiary of Air France-KLM.
Air France-KLM is the largest airline company in the world in
terms of operating revenues.
It's the third-largest in the world (largest in Europe) in
terms of passengers-kilometers (over 40 million passengers a
year).
Air France-KLM is part of the SkyTeam Alliance with
Delta Air Lines, Aeroméxico, Korean Air, CSA Czech
Airlines, Alitalia, Northwest Airlines, Aeroflot, and
Continental Airlines. Both Air France and KLM continue to
fly under their distinct brand names.
