Short Description of Calvi: The city of Calvi is built on a rocky peak SE of Punta San Francesco. A square tower dominates the upper town inside the citadel. The lower town spreads SW of the citadel, beside the harbor with, in the background, modern neighborhoods built along the hills. A long sandy beach bordered with pine trees and alongside the railway runnning along the bottom of the gulf.
