In
the river
The
banks of the Truyère, emblem of La Margeride, and
its tributary the Rimeize, are the source of
happiness for fishermen who will find calm or
sometimes turbulent waters for all kinds of
fishing (artificial and real fly fishing,
etc).
Here
is the realm of the trout but there are also pike
and perch. Fishing areas are marked out on the
Truyère lake (at Le Malzieu) and the étang of
Saint Léger du Malzieu.
Visit La
Truyère, symbol of La Margeride, is a river of European
reputation. Its gorges are magnificent though not very
well-known. They can be visited on foot or mountain bike.
The hamlet of
Sainte Lucie overlooks the gorges of the Crueize and Val d’Enfer
from a height of 400 metres and the view is wonderful.
In the lake of Naussac, 7km long, is a mountain lake whose purity is witness
to the quality and conservation of the environment. Many
sporting activities are organised here: fishing in boats,
sailing, windsurfing, golf, rambling, mountain biking, etc.
This lake is
also the venue for many migratory birds.
