Along the fortifications,
in a beautiful house with a view out to the rue Saint Esprit,
the oldest in the old part of Antibes, you will find an address
well known in the gourmet world: La Jarre. All the charms of
a family and Grande Cuisine restaurant are to be found here.
A refined dining room, visible beams and stones, mixing tradition
and comfort… Everyone will find what he is looking for; there
is even an enchanting patio, in the shade of a century old fig
tree.
The owners of this elegant restaurant are Nathalie and Frédéric
Ramos. She brings her smile and her welcome to the dining room;
he brings his talent to the kitchen.
This young Chef has a nice amount of impressive references,
he is a former pupil of Jacques Maximin’s, comes straight out
of a big hotel, and now Frédéric writes the menus
of his own restaurant, composing dishes singing an ode to Provence,
the Mediterrannean, sunshine…
He is very demanding in his choice of products, he goes to the
local fishermen himself to choose his products, notably to the
market at Cros du Cagnes. He works on the products delicately
yet simply, and the products from the country are treated with
the same respect.
And that is the whole pleasure of the place: in the heart of
old Antibes, a little piece of paradise for gourmets.
