Close to the Pont Neuf, in the
heart of the lively Saint Germain des Prés neighbourhood, on
the rue des Grands Augustins, hides an establishment that has
been there for seventy years, Roger la Grenouille, a typically
Parisian restaurant…
This places lives to the rhythm of one of the capital’s most
lively and authentic areas; it is truly the centre of the
city, from a cultural, historic and social point of view.
The year is 1930… An old shoe-mender’s shop is turned into a
restaurant by Roger Spinhirny. It quickly becomes one of the
most famous establishments of the capital. Big names of this
world like the Queen Mother or Pope John XXIII, not forgetting
French President Auriol or representatives of show business,
they all gather in this friendly restaurant.
This success can maybe be explained by a unique décor:
baroque, warm, as welcoming as the owners. Now you have the
opportunity to become a true “titi parisien” in this
flamboyant and historic place, you can taste the authenticity
of a restaurant that is truly one of its kind!

cuisine is inspired by the purest French tradition, and it
