The La Rosière resort, just twenty minutes from the Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station, offers visitors a cocktail of sunshine and superlative snow cover. Facing due south, its chalets bathe in the warm rays of the Sun God all day long. And although its skiable domain cannot be compared to those of its famous neighbours (Val d'Isère, les Arcs), the variety of its slopes, and its link to the Italian resort of La Thuile, will banish any thought of fatigue.

Green ski slope for Learners. These are usually not marked trails, but tend to be large open, gently sloping areas at the base of the ski area.  4 slopes Blue ski slope are Easy. Similar to the North American Green Circle, and are almost always groomed, or on so shallow a slope as not to need it  12 slopes Red ski slopes are Intermediate. Steeper, or narrower than a blue slope, these are usually groomed, unless the narrowness of the trail prohibits it  11 slopes Black ski slopes are Difficult. Steep, may or may not be groomed, or may be groomed for mogul. It is worth noting that 'Black' can be a very wide classification, ranging from a slope marginally more difficult than a 'Red' to an icy mogulfield  5 slopes
