The most recent of the 3 Valley resorts (1990), La Tania, is an admirable alternative for those who want to combine skiing for all levels with a "personal approach" resort. Different from Courchevel or Les Ménuires, La Tania is proud of its friendly atmosphere and warm reception. Yet here, you can access the same fabulous ski domain.
 
Grouches may object that its nightlife suffers compared to its big sisters, or that the resort's northern exposure restricts its supply of sunshine... Green ski slope for Learners. These are usually not marked trails, but tend to be large open, gently sloping areas at the base of the ski area.  26 slopes Blue ski slope are Easy. Similar to the North American Green Circle, and are almost always groomed, or on so shallow a slope as not to need it  29 slopes Red ski slopes are Intermediate. Steeper, or narrower than a blue slope, these are usually groomed, unless the narrowness of the trail prohibits it  36 slopes Black ski slopes are Difficult. Steep, may or may not be groomed, or may be groomed for mogul. It is worth noting that 'Black' can be a very wide classification, ranging from a slope marginally more difficult than a 'Red' to an icy mogulfield  11 slopes
