The small resort of Oz-en-Oisans, nestled in the Eau d'Olle valley, is particularly renowned for its link with the Alpe d'Huez ski domain. This hamlet, built around a central intersection, is closed to vehicles; its pistes end at the foot of the buildings. Located in the centre of a pristine natural landscape, Oz usually benefits from the right amount of snow cover, which compensates for its scarce sunlight. In short, this destination represents an off-beat way to explore one of the most prestigious ski areas in Europe.

Green ski slope for Learners. These are usually not marked trails, but tend to be large open, gently sloping areas at the base of the ski area.  12 slopes Blue ski slope are Easy. Similar to the North American Green Circle, and are almost always groomed, or on so shallow a slope as not to need it  13 slopes Red ski slopes are Intermediate. Steeper, or narrower than a blue slope, these are usually groomed, unless the narrowness of the trail prohibits it  13 slopes Black ski slopes are Difficult. Steep, may or may not be groomed, or may be groomed for mogul. It is worth noting that 'Black' can be a very wide classification, ranging from a slope marginally more difficult than a 'Red' to an icy mogulfield  3 slopes
