The biggest resort in Haute Maurienne, Val Cenis, is about 130 kilometres from Albertville. Its reasonably large skiable terrain usually has excellent snow cover, and experienced skiers will find all the steep pistes that they need. Situated just a stone's throw from Italy, this beautiful valley also benefits from an expressway connection that simplifies access. Green ski slope for Learners. These are usually not marked trails, but tend to be large open, gently sloping areas at the base of the ski area.  9 slopes Blue ski slope are Easy. Similar to the North American Green Circle, and are almost always groomed, or on so shallow a slope as not to need it  10 slopes Red ski slopes are Intermediate. Steeper, or narrower than a blue slope, these are usually groomed, unless the narrowness of the trail prohibits it  18 slopes Black ski slopes are Difficult. Steep, may or may not be groomed, or may be groomed for mogul. It is worth noting that 'Black' can be a very wide classification, ranging from a slope marginally more difficult than a 'Red' to an icy mogulfield  6 slopes
