Villard de Lans is the biggest ski resort on the Vercors plateau. This postcard-perfect village has conserved its architectural heritage developed at the beginning of the 20th century, thanks to the bourgeois tourists who come for spa treatments. The ski runs begin at Côte 2000, which can be accessed by a shuttle bus from Villard. The skiable area connected with Corrençon is accessible to skiers of all levels. Skiing, snowboarding, and other gliding sports can be enjoyed in the woods against a sweeping view of the Vercors plateau, a wonderful play area for long-distance skiers and hikers alike. Green ski slope for Learners. These are usually not marked trails, but tend to be large open, gently sloping areas at the base of the ski area.  slopes Blue ski slope are Easy. Similar to the North American Green Circle, and are almost always groomed, or on so shallow a slope as not to need it  slopes Red ski slopes are Intermediate. Steeper, or narrower than a blue slope, these are usually groomed, unless the narrowness of the trail prohibits it  slopes Black ski slopes are Difficult. Steep, may or may not be groomed, or may be groomed for mogul. It is worth noting that 'Black' can be a very wide classification, ranging from a slope marginally more difficult than a 'Red' to an icy mogulfield  slopes
