Get Away and Golf in France

Normandy

How about a golf break in Normandy? Hop on the ferry … with your car and clubs … from Portsmouth over to Ouistreham-Caen and you’re minutes away from some of the most stunning scenery and six golf courses where you can play to your heart’s delight: Overlooking the Channel are Etretat and Dieppe. There’s Houlgate in distinctive Norman style and Saint-Saens Golf Hotel with half-board and unlimited golf. Golf in Northern France

All regions in France cater to this pastime. Along the Northern coast you’ll find six courses from Fort-Mahon-Plage near Berck, with two beside Le Touquet and a couple more near Hardelot with the most Northern in Wimereux, just North of Boulogne-sur-Mer and Tourcoing not far from Lille, more inland but accessible via Eurostar to Lille.

Golf in Brittany

Brittany has an important place in the golf world as it is so accessible by plane from the UK as well as by ferry with arrivals at Roscoff and Cherbourg. The North coast offers seven courses around the corsair city of Saint-Malo. Golfing may be your delight but fresh seafood and scenery will give you strength and fortitude for your rounds.

There are 12 courses along the South Coast centered around Lorient including the exhilarating Golf de Ploemeur Ocean where the large greens are right on and contrast with the blue ocean and where the wind will challenge your game.
