Pretty Lourdes lies at the foot of the Pyrenees in southwest France. Jump on a high-speed TGV train from Paris and you’ll glide into Lourdes SNCF station in the heart of the town centre in under six hours. Or why not take the comfy Corail Lunea sleeper service – and roll up in time for breakfast?

From Lourdes you can catch high-speed TGV trains to the west coast of France and up to Bordeaux. Regular local trains also run to the east towards Montpellier and beyond into Provence.

Five high-speed TGV trains and three Corail Lunea sleeper trains run every day from Paris to Lourdes SNCF station. The station is in the heart of the town centre, but public transport is on hand at the station exit.

Lourdes SNCF station sits on the high-speed TGV line from Paris in the north to Biarritz and the Spanish border in the southwest.

It’s a small, provincial station. But it does feature excellent disabled access, due to the large number of handicapped travellers who visit the city.


Lourdes SNCF station isn’t a main terminus, so facilities are pretty basic. But you can grab a quick bite or make a phone call before you continue your journey. See what’s on offer below:

Getting to the station –

By bus:
Local buses run across the city from opposite the station over the car park.

By taxi:
Two taxi firms pick up passengers from outside the station: Taxi Alliances (05 62 46 14 61) and Taxi Services (05 62 42 08 08). Both are located to the left of the station exit.

On foot:
If your hotel is in the city centre, the station is a stone’s throw away. Why not begin your visit to Lourdes with a little stroll?

By bike:
There are Bicycle Spaces onboard the TGV if you want to take your bike on holiday with you.
