Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Train Station – CDG TGV

Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV is the train station in Terminal 2 of Charles de Gaulle airport. It’s about 14 miles (23km) from the centre of Paris.

The station serves both TGV trains and line B of the RER rapid transit system. RER B connects to central Paris, calling at Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est on the way.

TGV trains from the station run to many destinations, including Bordeaux, Brussels, Lille, Lyon, Marseilles, Nantes, Perpignan, Rennes and Toulouse.

Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 is the next stop on RER B and is located in Terminal 1. A shuttle bus runs between here and Terminal 3. This is not a TGV station

The station is covered by a glass atrium, giving it a light, airy and pleasantly modern feel.

Manual luggage consignment:
All items are subject to security checks, including X-ray screening and random hand searches. Please note, for security reasons there are no lockers for storing luggage at the airport.

At Paris-Charles de Gaulle 2 airport, you can securely deposit your baggage at the central lockers located at the CDGVAL station’s exit, near the RER train station. This service is available 7 days a week, from 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM.

There are many options within the airport terminals. The station itself has a takeaway outlet to the right of the mainline ticket office.

Banks and currency exchange:
An HSBC bank with cash point machines is on level 4 of the station building.
There are several currency exchanges within the airport terminals.

Passengers with mobility issues should contact the ‘Access Plus Service’ 30 minutes before departure.

Getting to the station –
Taxi:
Go to Level 5 and use the ‘south/sud’ exit. A taxi between central Paris and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) takes about 45 minutes. You can hie a chauffeur-driven limousine if you prefer.

Bus:
Buses run every 10 minutes from Place Charles de Gaulle, via Port Maillot to Terminals 1 and 2. Journey time is around 40 minutes.

Between 07.00 and 21.30, buses run every 30 minutes from Montparnasse, via Gare de Lyon to Terminals 1 and 2. Journey time is around 40 minutes.

Roissybus service runs between the three airport terminals and rue Scribe in the Opéra district of central Paris. Between 06.00 and 22.30, shuttles run every 15 minutes and take approximately 45 minutes.

Train:
RER line B trains run every 8-15 minutes between the airport and central Paris, with a journey time of around 35 minutes.
