Gare d’Austerlitz is one of six major stations in Paris, so there are plenty of facilities on offer. You can grab a bite to eat, check your emails or store your luggage if there’s time before your train.

If you require assistance boarding you should turn up at the reception 30 minutes before your train leaves. Wheelchairs and boarding ramps are also available if required.

Getting to the Austerlitz station from the Eurostar terminal

By Metro/RER
Catch Line 5 of the Metro direct from Gare du Nord towards Place d’Italie. The fare is €1.60 for a single journey. Or you can catch the RER – an express Metro train – south on Line B to St-Michel N-Dame station and change for Line C.

By bus
Catch Number 65 south from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon at the end of the route. Gare d’Austerlitz is directly opposite, just across the river.

By taxi
A cab from Gare du Nord will cost around €19. The journey takes 20 minutes or so. But to avoid long queues at the taxi rank, pre-book by calling G7 Taxis on +33 1 41 27 66 99 (lines are open 24/7).

Getting from the station into the city By Metro/RER:
The Metro and RER trains run from the station across the city. The fare is €1.60 (known as a t Ticket) for a single journey. Or you can buy a Paris Visite Pass valid for unlimited travel from 1, 2, 3 or 5 days.

By bus:
Several bus lines pass by the station. Like the Number 91, which runs across the river to the former site of the Bastille prison.

By taxi:
There’s a taxi rank outside the station. To pre-book, call G7 Taxis on +33 1 41 27 66 99 (lines are open 24/7).

On foot:
The station is just a short walk from some of the city’s major attractions. A mile or so along the river is the Louvre. While around two miles away is the Musée Rodin.

By bike:
There are some free bicycle spaces in the station to store your bike. Corail Teoz and Corail Lunea trains from the station also offer bicycle spaces.
