With no airport close to Reims, the train is the best way to get right into the city centre. Catch the Eurostar to Paris or Lille and then take the high-speed TGV service to Reims city station or Champagne Ardenne TGV (for a local connection to the city). Only around 45 minutes from Paris, you can be in the middle of Reims as little as 4 hours after leaving the UK.

Since June 2007, Reims has been linked to Paris by a TGV high-speed rail link, with journey times from as little as 45 minutes. The station is on the west side of the city centre, a 15-minute walk from the Cathedral. Travellers coming from Lille or Paris airport arrive at Champagne Ardenne TGV, around 3 miles (5km) outside Reims. Regular local services connect to Reims city station.
Reims station is just west of the city centre, within walking distance of the sights. Local buses serve it and there’s also a tax rank outside. Public transport is undergoing major improvements in Reims, with a major new tramline and additional buses due to enter service during 2010.
There’s been a station in Reims since 1854, although the current building opened in 1935.

Getting to and from the station –
From the station it’s just a 15-minute walk south east to the Cathedral. Reims has several pedestrianised areas, with more planned.
There’s a taxi rank outside the station. If there are no taxis waiting simply head across from the station exit to the Taxis de Reims office at 1 cour Gare.
Most of the main city bus routes serve the station.
The tramway runs north-south through Reims via the station.
There are bicycle spaces onboard the TGV if you want to take your bike on holiday with you.
