Luggage storage is one of the most frequent questions we get at BonjourLaFrance. Here are some solutions.

The most readily available places for lugguage storage are your arrival
and departure points: train stations and airports. There can be automatic lockers
and/or manual handling. In French these are known as ‘consignes’.

Here are the details to go 'luggage free' or have it stored or transferred in and around Paris. Places, prices and sizes:

Other options in Paris and Nice

Musée d’Orsay: No entry ticket is necessary and this is only for hand luggage which is free … while the service lasts. Open daily except Monday from 9.30 am to 5.45 pm.

Musée du Louvre: Entry ticket required unless you’re under 25 and living in the EU. Open daily except Tuesday from 9 am to 6 pm. Max. size per bag: 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm. Access near the Apple Store in the underground shopping mall – “Carrousel du Louvre”.

Nice: Try Hotel Belle Meuniere +33 4 93 88 66 15 and Hotel Interlaken, +33 4 93 88 30 15. They are a few minutes walk from the train station at 21 and 26 Avenue Durante. Count about 5€ / day / bag.

BonjourLaFrance Suggestion

As you can see there are not many stations available with storage. One suggestion is to find a nearby store, walk in smiling and ask them if they can’t keep your baggage for a short while. Tell them you’re a tourist etc and want to visit their town and offer them a few Euros etc. You’re sure to find someone who’ll accept. I’ve used this method successfully… a florist put my bag in cold storage!

Paris and suburbs Luggage Storage and Delivery service

Eelway is a custom luggage service. They store/transfer your luggage and equipment (baby, sport) from airports, train stations etc. to your hotel, rental, amusement parks and so on (and the other way around). You can then enjoy Paris from the first minute totally hands free.

A concierge will meet you at the exit of your plane or train arrival gate, collect your bags and delivers them when you want at your hotel, AirBnB, home, office or rental place, or simply store them in secured lockers until your departure. Bags are charged by number regardless of weight and size and rates are very reasonable.

N.B: Transfers between two airports, airport-train and storage are possible.
